Disclaimer Update

Hi everyone! After discussion on the dev blog and with beta readers, I've tentatively added a disclaimer about Attollo's linearity and the choices situation. I understand some may still feel frustrated about the choice issues, and so I hope that my explanation in this disclaimer (i.e how Attollo is still just setting up the plot, meaning choices are limited because we need to get past big hurdles first) will provide some form of reassurance. I am also in the process of cleaning up content and seeing if I can squeeze any flavoring in, but because there is so much content already, it may take a while to do so (I also have a very hectic private life with a job and grad school on my shoulders).

Thank you for your patience and the discussion, and take care!

I'm very satisfied with the choices and is not aware that there are any complain about it. As someone who played a lot of this type of game for YEARS, the flavors of choices offered in your game is exciting, and the plot is superb.  There are a lot of IF that offer less choices than yours, especially in here.

I don't feel that the game is so linear as to warrants a disclaimer about it.  Even your landing at the city offers several different outcome already! The disclaimer offers a disadvantage that you may want to consider; people might hesitate  more before trying the game out as 'linear' often means that it's a 'moving storybook' rather than IF, and I heavily disagree on this definition for your story. I personally think that it's better to have them play and decide it on their own terms first.

But all in all honesty, this is your game and it's superb! Love your work, don't be discouraged, and wish you all the best and an abundance of luck in life!!

I didnt know there was complains about it until u removed the game from itchio. For me was pretty obvious that the lack of choices was for the sake of the plot. Im happy the game is here again and i hope the disclaimer will make people understand why u did the things this way. I really love ur work with all my heart and i wish u luck with everything. Stay safe!

I think that's a great idea and worth implementing, I enjoy Attollo quite a bit, but there were long stretches where I felt I only had the illusion of choice. Including a disclaimer of some sort to inform people of those stretches ahead of time may better prepare players for the current depth of decision-making.

I was unaware there were complaints about choices.  I strive to always trust the author to know what they're doing, it is their story after all and it's not even finished yet, so maybe that's why I didn't think much of it?  Still, I wish you luck, I hope you take it easy and have fun writing, we'll be here whenever it's ready!
